About Bingham University
Bingham
University is a private Nigerian university owned and managed by
ECWA. Bingham University is the only Private Christian University in
Nasarawa State, Nigeria. Ecwa Bingham University was named after Rev
Rowland Bingham. Ecwa Bingham University is located very closely to
Abuja, capital city of Nigeria.
It
was established in 2005 following its formal licensing by the National
Universities Commission (NUC) that same year. The university has its
permanent campus on the outskirts of Abuja (the Nigerian capital) in New
Karu, Nasarawa State and has occupied it since 3 March 2008.
Accommodation for all students is on campus. The school was established
Christian moral and academic standards.
The
pro-chancellor is Dr. Peter S. Abdul. The late Prof. A.T. Gana was the
first vice chancellor of the university. The current vice chancellor is
Prof. Samuel Leonard Fwa, Member of the National Institute, MNI who is
committed to achieving the University’s aim of producing men and women
who will catalyze the revolution in self-reliance at all levels of a
Godly society. The registrar is Mal. Usaini S. Gwani, Bsc, MPA; a
seasoned and experienced administrator.
